Examples are: Providing relief for the caregiver, visiting patients, shopping, preparing meals, driving, running errands, light housework, gardening, and childcare.

Emotional maturity, sensitivity, listening skills, willingness to do whatever is needed, successful incorporation of losses in own life, and ability to accept people as they are.

Time Commitment:

One year, approximately 4 hours per week with patients and families. Bimonthly meetings are scheduled for all volunteers for the purpose of discussing patient care issues, in-service training, and volunteer recognition.

Volunteers are also need in the office to assist with filing, helping assemble patient folders, and other miscellaneous tasks at our Chico location.
